Basketball Recap: Superior Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Adam Sandoval and Ryland Duarte

Superior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 45-34 to the Cicero Prep Academy Centurions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-40 back in November of 2024.

Superior's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ryland Duarte, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards, and Adam Sandoval, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Noah Jimenez was another key player, putting up ten points.

Even though they lost, Superior was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Superior's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Cicero Prep Academy, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Superior does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cicero Prep Academy has also already played their next game, a 61-53 victory against Hayden on the 31st.
