Charleroi can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They blew past the East Allegheny Wild Cats 17-4. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Charleroi's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for East Allegheny, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, Charleroi will be playing in front of their home fans against Ringgold at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Allegheny, they will head out to take on Chartiers Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Colts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.91 runs per game on average), something the Wild Cats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
