Cook Inlet Academy lost against Kenai Central back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cook Inlet Academy Eagles fell 63-52 to the Kenai Central Kardinals. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Cook Inlet Academy still got an impressive performance from Ian McGarry, who posted 18 points. That was a full 34.6% of Cook Inlet Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Oyoumick, who earned 12 points.

Cook Inlet Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Kenai Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Cook Inlet Academy will challenge Nikiski at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cook Inlet Academy is facing Nikiski at the right time seeing as Nikiski is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Kenai Central, they will take on Delta in a tournament on Thursday.
