Baseball Recap: Stockdale Takes a Loss

Stockdale entered their match against Centennial on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mustangs fell just short of the Golden Hawks by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Golden Hawks this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-0 defeat on Wednesday.

Stockdale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Ryder, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another was Noah Brum, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Stockdale and nudges their season record down to 17-8. As for Centennial, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Stockdale will square off against rival Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Centennial is set to take on their familiar foe Frontier at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
