Football Game Preview: Alameda Pirates vs. The Classical Academy Titans + Official Tickets

Alameda hasn't had much luck against The Classical Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pirates will challenge the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Alameda will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Alameda's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They breezed past Mitchell to the tune of 48-0. The Pirates' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, The Classical Academy's offense rose to the challenge against a Cowboys defense that boasted an average of only 13 points allowed on Friday. The Titans blew past Denver West 41-8. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for the Titans this season.

Alameda better keep an eye on Jackson Schipfer. He was instrumental in The Classical Academy's win, rushing for 140 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries. Schipfer's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 140 rushing yards. Hayden Gustafson was in the mix as well, providing The Classical Academy with two touchdowns.

The Classical Academy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Denver West to a completion percentage of just 38.1%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from four players: Gustafson, Josiah Musilli, Zach Mediavilla, and Johnny Howe, who each logged one passes deflected. The Classical Academy wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for The Classical Academy, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Mediavilla, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

The Classical Academy's record is now 6-0. As for Alameda, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Alameda took a serious blow against The Classical Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 56-0. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
