Volleyball Recap: Salem Academy Takes a Loss

If Salem Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Santiam Christian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders lost 3-0 to the Dayton Pirates on Saturday. The shutout was out of character for the Crusaders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Salem Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Dayton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Salem Academy and Dayton are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, the Crusaders and Coquille will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dayton, they will square off against Santiam Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
