Basketball Game Preview: Mission Valley Vikings vs. Olpe Eagles

The Mission Valley Vikings will challenge the Olpe Eagles on Tuesday. Mission Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Mission Valley is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since December 10, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Northern Heights 58-29.

Meanwhile, Olpe didn't have too much trouble with Lyndon on Friday as they won 55-37. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Tigers are ranked 308th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mission Valley's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-7. As for Olpe, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-1-2.

Mission Valley beat Olpe 39-29 when the teams last played back in December of 2018. Does Mission Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Olpe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
