Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Treasure Coast). They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won three in a row.

Colin Jackson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Treasure Coast is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Treasure Coast got a massive performance out of Jacob Sanchez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Sanchez has become a key player for Treasure Coast: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Charles Permann, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Treasure Coast always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln Park Academy only posted an OBP of .350.

The victory got Treasure Coast back to even at 6-6. As for Lincoln Park Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.

Coming up, Treasure Coast will square off against IMG Academy Navy at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they will face off against Boca Raton Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln Park Academy has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
