Volleyball Recap: Dover Comes Up Short

Dover lost against St. Joseph back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Dover sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 18-25, 15-10.

Despite the loss, Dover still got an impressive performance from Early Jackson, who had 12 digs and two aces. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Breanna Hampton also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Dover's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for St. Joseph, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Dover has already played their next match (against Bergman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. Joseph, they will take on Perryville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
