Basketball Recap: Dugger Union Takes a Loss

Dugger Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the White River Valley Wolverines, falling 67-30. The Bulldogs were down 51-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Dugger Union's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bella Gallion, who shot 42% from the field on her way to 13 points. Gallion is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Abigail Shepler was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Dugger Union's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for White River Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.

Coming up, Dugger Union will be playing in front of their home fans against Shoals at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for White River Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against North Daviess at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
