The Eastside Ghosts will challenge the Bergen Tech Knights at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
If Eastside beats Bergen Tech with six  runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the  squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two  matches with that exact score. The Ghosts skirted past West Milford  6-5. The  win continues a trend for the Ghosts in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now won three in a row.

 Elian Colon looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Kairo Reyes, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Eudrin Rosario, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  double.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Bergen Tech). They blew past Tenafly 19-2 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
 Michael Camporeale and  Jake Burke did most of the damage at the plate:  Camporeale  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run, while  Burke  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Those  two  doubles gave  Camporeale a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Harssh Ramayanam Venkkat, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Bergen Tech  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .568. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Bergen Tech's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 6-8. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Eastside, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
 Eastside skirted past Bergen Tech  3-2 in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. Do  the Ghosts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
