Softball Game Preview: Maranatha Minutemen vs. Burbank Bulldogs

The Maranatha Minutemen will head out to take on the Burbank Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Maranatha has given up an average of 21.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Maranatha is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Whittier Christian, falling 19-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Minutemen were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Burbank came up short against Artesia two weeks ago and fell 8-3. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burbank saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Cafferty, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, Burbank always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.

Maranatha's record is now 1-7. As for Burbank, their record now sits at 3-9-1.
