Softball Recap: Providence School Stallions vs. Middleburg Broncos
Providence School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-5 to the Middleburg Broncos. The Stallions were not able to make up for their loss to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Summer Stearns made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Cardona, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Providence School's record is now 1-5. As for Middleburg, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence School will host Baker County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Providence School has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Middleburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
