Barr-Reeve is a perfect 8-0 against Springs Valley since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Blackhawks at 6:00 p.m. Barr-Reeve is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Friday, Barr-Reeve had just enough and edged out Evansville North 5-3.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Springs Valley and Mitchell, and Springs Valley kept the tradition alive. The Blackhawks blew past the Bluejackets 12-3 on Saturday.

Braylon Kovas and Landon Weeks were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Kovas pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Weeks tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Kovas posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Kovas scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Weeks scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Noah Allstott was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mackey Lowe, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Springs Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mitchell only posted a batting average of .091.

Barr-Reeve pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Springs Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Barr-Reeve skirted past Springs Valley 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blackhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
