Gridley has gone 6-1 against Winters recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Gridley Bulldogs will welcome the Winters Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Winters took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Gridley, who comes in off a win.

Gridley is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on March 3rd. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Lindhurst a 13-0 shutout.

Kay Pruitt made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Pruitt was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Payton Burresch and Delanie Cloyd did most of the damage at the plate: Burresch scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Cloyd scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. What's more, Burresch posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Val Poyner, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Gridley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Winters came up short against Napa on Tuesday, falling 10-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gridley skirted past Winters 7-6 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Gridley repeat their success, or does Winters have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
