Matthew Boring posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 32 yards and two scores, and also threw for 163 yards and one touchdown. He was up against New Hanover and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in November of 2024.

Boring and Hoggard will venture away from home to face off against Topsail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Pirates thanks in part to Boring: he threw for 284 yards while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground.
