Soccer Recap: Garfield Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Garfield after they claimed the first goal on Wednesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell 3-1 to the South Gate Rams. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for South Gate, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-0-2 and their overall record up to 8-5-2.

Garfield has already played their next matchup (against Legacy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Gate will take on Bell at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in South Gate's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Bell has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
