Moore Catholic extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping them up to 5-0. They came out on top against the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars by a score of 7-2. Those seven runs were actually the fewest the Mavericks have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Christian Manteria looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chris Eugene, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Tyler Miro, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Our Lady of Mount Carmel fell to 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Our Lady of Mount Carmel's side, Ethyn Street was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Our Lady of Mount Carmel saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ricky Vaughn, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.
