Basketball Game Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. Orange Glen Patriots

Classical Academy hasn't had much luck against Orange Glen recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Classical Academy Caimans will host the Orange Glen Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Classical Academy ended up a good deal behind Pacific Ridge and lost 57-39. While losing is never fun, the Caimans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1188th, while the Firebirds are ranked 459th).

Classical Academy used a three-pronged attack on offense: Zachary Meister, Jacob Batcheller, and Drew Davis posted six points each.

Meanwhile, Orange Glen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 52-35 fall against San Diego Jewish Academy.

Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Orange Glen, their loss dropped their record down to 0-24.
