Softball Game Preview: Franklin Admirals vs. Fairview Yellowjackets

The Franklin Admirals will head out on the road to challenge the Fairview Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Franklin's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Franklin and Page finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Fairview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lebanon.

Cameryn Dunn was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Grace Fox also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. With that draw, Franklin's record moves to 2-12-2.

Everything went Franklin's way against Fairview in their previous meeting back in March of 2018, as Franklin made off with a 16-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Admirals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
