Soccer Recap: Lake Havasu Takes a Loss

The Lake Havasu Knights came up short against the Ironwood Eagles on Tuesday, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Knights were already down 4-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Jesus Alvarado, who's now up to nine this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Lake Havasu and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Ironwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Lake Havasu didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-1 loss against Arizona College Prep on the 23rd. As for Ironwood, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Ironwood duke it out with the Carl Hayden Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ironwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.
