The Cypress Woods Wildcats will head out to challenge the Waller Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Woods is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Cypress Woods didn't have quite enough to beat Bridgeland and fell 7-6. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ainsley Vacek was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kassidy St Clair, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Waller got themselves on the board against Cypress Park on Tuesday, but Cypress Park never followed suit. They didn't even let the Tigers on the board, marking their second-straight 16-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

MaKenzie Dillon made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Taylor McCurdy was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Isabella Gonzales was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-14. As for Cypress Woods, they now have a losing record of 10-11-1.

Cypress Woods skirted past Waller 8-6 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cypress Woods since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
