The Warhill Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Tabb Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warhill's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Tabb's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Warhill blew York out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday York got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 7-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Ellie Jacobs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Keamani Fujimoto, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Tabb made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lafayette on Friday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 20-10 victory.
Milenah Camacho and Alayna Davidson did most of the damage at the plate: Camacho went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Davidson went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Lakelyn Bagheri was another key player, going 3-for-6 with three runs and one RBI.
Tabb kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Warhill's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Tabb, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Tabb's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Warhill has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Tabb, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 strikeouts. Will Warhill keep running through batters, or will the Tigers buck the trend?
