Volleyball Recap: Hoehne Comes Up Short

Hoehne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Rye Thunderbolts, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbolts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Hoehne was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-22.

Hoehne's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Rye, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Hoehne has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Del Norte on the 28th. As for Rye, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Pueblo Central on the 24th.
