Football Recap: Kodiak Falls Short Against Ranked Houston + How To Watch

Kodiak faced Houston in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bears took a hard 20-6 fall against the Hawks. The Bears have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Boe McCarthy threw for 26 yards on two of seven attempts. On the ground, Vic Sorio rushed for 73 yards on only eight carries.

Among those leading the charge was Elias Johnson, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024.

Kodiak's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Houston, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.
