Recap: Southeastern Panthers vs. Circleville Tigers
The Southeastern Panthers lost against the Circleville Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Southeastern fell 55-47 to Circleville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southeastern in their matchups with Circleville: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Southeastern lost, one person who can't be blamed is Carter Fisher. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points. Connor Smith was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 assists.
Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Circleville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeastern will take on Westfall at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Westfall presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southeastern in Ohio (Westfall is ranked 143rd, while Southeastern is ranked 418th). As for Circleville, they will be playing at home against Amanda-Clearcreek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Amanda-Clearcreek comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
