Football Recap: William Campbell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

William Campbell extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They were beaten by the Appomattox County Raiders 57-6. If the Generals were looking for revenge after losing 50-8 to the Raiders when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Appomattox County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.0 points over those games.

Appomattox County found their leader in sophomore Noah Christian, who rushed for 64 yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Elijah Davis, who rushed for 24 yards and one touchdown.

Coming up, William Campbell will head out on the road to take on Altavista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Appomattox County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gretna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests.
