Baseball Recap: Williams Valley Takes a Loss

Williams Valley was the 4-3 winner over Minersville when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Battlin' Miners on Wednesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Adams was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Williams Valley now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Minersville, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams Valley will challenge Tri-Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Minersville, they will take on Shenandoah Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Battlin' Miners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
