After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Faith Christian, Greenfield was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Westchester Country Day Wildcats. The one-run effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Not much got past Simon Quinn, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Westchester Country Day off the board. Quinn has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Greenfield now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Westchester Country Day, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Greenfield will welcome Epiphany at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Westchester Country Day, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge Burlington Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burlington Christian Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
