Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Case walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Amesbury Redhawks a 13-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Case is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Amesbury, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Case has already played their next game (against Gardner), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Amesbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
