Blazer posted their closest victory since December 27, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Huntington Highlanders 52-49. The 52-point effort marked the Tomcats' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory made it two in a row for Blazer and bumps their season record up to 16-7. As for Huntington, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Blazer won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fleming County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Huntington, they will square off against South Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
