Softball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison and O'Connor squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Madison had to settle for second. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Mavericks in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for O'Connor, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 21-2.

Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for O'Connor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dripping Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
