Roosevelt won against Castle last Wednesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Roosevelt Rough Riders won by a run and slipped past the Kailua Surfriders 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rough Riders have posted against the Surfriders since March 12, 2022.

The victory made it two in a row for Roosevelt and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Kailua, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.

Roosevelt will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kaiser at 3:00 p.m. on March 26th. Kaiser's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Roosevelt's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
