A well-balanced attack led Hampton County over Barnwell in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Hampton County Hurricanes blew the Barnwell Warhorses out of the water with a 60-22 final score. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 24 points or more this season.

Leading Hampton County to victory were Lyric Jones and Saniyah Sanders. Jones posted 15 points, while Sanders earned nine points. The contest was Jones' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Khaliyah Dobson, who put up nine points and five boards.

Despite the loss, Barnwell saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Savannah Rountree scored ten points.

Hampton County pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Barnwell, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Hampton County will be playing at home against Whale Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hampton County's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Whale Branch's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Barnwell, they will head out to take on Edisto at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Barnwell is facing Edisto at the right time seeing as Edisto is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
