Soccer Game Preview: Columbia vs. Mid-Carolina

For the second straight game, Columbia will face off against Mid-Carolina. The Capitals will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Columbia knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Mid-Carolina likes a good challenge.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Columbia and Mid-Carolina had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Capitals walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Rebels on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but Columbia were the better team in the second half.

Columbia pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those six matches. As for Mid-Carolina, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-2.
