The Hollywood Hills Spartans will head out on the road to take on the South Plantation Paladins at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hollywood Hills will be strutting in after a win while South Plantation will be coming in after a loss.
Hollywood Hills not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 10th. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Northeast. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hollywood Hills was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-10.

Julian Klavans and Christian Hernandez were among the main playmakers for Hollywood Hills as the former had 12 assists and seven aces and the latter had eight digs and four aces. Klavans has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last eight times he's played.
They weren't the only good server: Hollywood Hills was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, South Plantation suffered their biggest defeat since March 13th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to St. Thomas Aquinas. The Paladins have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
While South Plantation was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-22.
South Plantation's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Hollywood Hills, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-8.
Hollywood Hills might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from South Plantation in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
