Football Recap: Gainesville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Gainesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-0 to the Vernon Lions. If the Leopards were looking for revenge after losing 46-30 to the Lions when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Vernon, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gainesville will take on Ponder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vernon, they will head out to challenge City View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
