Volleyball Game Preview: Clear Lake Cardinals vs. St. Helena Saints + How To Watch

The Clear Lake Cardinals are taking a road trip to challenge the St. Helena Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Clear Lake managed to slip by Middletown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cardinals came up short against the Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Clear Lake was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-20.

Meanwhile, St. Helena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Upper Lake.

St. Helena started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-20.

Clear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for St. Helena, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Clear Lake couldn't quite get it done against St. Helena in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
