Softball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial suffered their closest defeat since April 8, 2025 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Riverside Prep Silver Knights by a score of 5-3. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss was their first at home, dropping their record down to 5-5. As for Riverside Prep, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Coming up, Centennial will be playing in front of their home fans against Citrus Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverside Prep, they will square off against Hesperia at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Silver Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scorpions have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
