Baseball Recap: West Campus Comes Up Short

West Campus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Armijo Royals.

West Campus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmett Scharn, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Scharn has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-8 otherwise.

West Campus' defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Armijo, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8-1 record this season.

While West Campus had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
