Recap: Glenwood Springs Demons vs. East Thunderbirds

The Glenwood Springs Demons's 17-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a hard 65-50 fall against East on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Glenwood Springs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 100th in Colorado, while East is ranked ninth in Wyoming).

Glenwood Springs' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Argeny Renteria, who scored 16 points. The match was Renteria's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sim Wenger, who scored 15 points.

Glenwood Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for East, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Glenwood Springs won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Resurrection Christian at 7:10 p.m. on December 15th. East won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Campbell County at 3:45 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Campbell County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Saturday.
