Basketball Recap: Goleman Piles Up the Points Against Jackson

Goleman entered their tilt with Jackson on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-24 victory over the Jackson Generals. The Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Generals, too.

Goleman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kai Tift out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Tift has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Jasmin Brown was another key player, putting up seven points and seven steals.

Goleman's record is now 5-1. As for Jackson, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Goleman and Coral Gables will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Goleman has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Jackson will take on iMater Charter in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
