Roncalli extends home winning streak to four

Recap: Roncalli Royals vs. Linton-Stockton Miners
On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Roncalli beat Linton-Stockton 36-30. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Roncalli has scored all year.
Roncalli had a senior duo take command as Claire Lindsey scored nine points along with six rebounds and Taylor Turk scored ten points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Turk pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sara Rosko, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Roncalli's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. As for Linton-Stockton, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roncalli will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Plainfield at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Hopefully Plainfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. Linton-Stockton will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Ben Davis at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
