Softball Game Preview: Johansen Vikings vs. Pacheco Panthers

Johansen hasn't had much luck against Pacheco recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings will take on the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Johansen is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to Ceres.

Meanwhile, Pacheco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against Central Valley, falling 11-0.

Johansen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Pacheco, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything went Johansen's way against Pacheco in their previous matchup back in March, as Johansen made off with an 18-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
