Softball Recap: Wayland Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Wayland had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They never let the Wyoming Wolves get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Thursday.

Wayland pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Wyoming, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Wayland will be playing at home against Cedar Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wyoming, they are taking a road trip to square off against Zeeland West at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
