Softball Recap: Jasper Wins Going Away Against Rich Hill

Jasper won the last time they faced Rich Hill and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles blew past the Tigers 13-3. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chloe Storm spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emersyn Bass, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Kiley Helms also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Jasper's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Rich Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jasper will face off against Southwest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Rich Hill, they will square off against Miami at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
