Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Slaughter Community Charter's Third in Last Four Outings

Slaughter Community Charter's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the West Feliciana Saints get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their one-run performance the game before.

Caroline Smith made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. Smith was also big at the plate, scoring a run.

In other batting news, Slaughter Community Charter let Conlee Flotte and AC Chaney run wild. Flotte scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Chaney scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Chaney a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaz Ramdass, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Slaughter Community Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for West Feliciana, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Slaughter Community Charter nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
