Basketball Game Preview: Enloe Eagles vs. Sanderson Spartans

Enloe hasn't had much luck against Sanderson recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Enloe Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Sanderson Spartans at 6:00 p.m.

Enloe is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Tuesday. They fell 57-48 to Leesville Road. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Pride are ranked 83rd).

Meanwhile, Sanderson had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They strolled past the Crusaders with points to spare, taking the game 66-50.

Sanderson's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Enloe, their loss dropped their record down to 2-19.

Enloe came up short against Sanderson in their previous matchup last Tuesday, falling 56-49. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Sanderson's Nathan Fife, who went 6 for 12 en route to 17 points and three steals. Now that Enloe knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
