Merrol Hyde Magnet waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the KIPP Global Huskies 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Merrol Hyde Magnet was: they took every set by at least 20 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-5, 25-5.

Merrol Hyde Magnet found their leader in sophomore Liv Maxwell, who had seven aces and three assists.

Merrol Hyde Magnet was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 35 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Merrol Hyde Magnet's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Merrol Hyde Magnet will take on KIPP Nashville Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
