Palisades has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 18. They fell 5-3 to the Providence Panthers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Palisades can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Providence are ranked 15th).

Palisades' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-2. As for Providence, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Palisades is set to face off against their familiar foe Rocky River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Providence will take on rival Ballantyne Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
